Devil's Lair is an exquisite, beautifully maintained vineyard, which from its earliest vintages has developed a great reputation for the classic Margaret River varieties - Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Climate and geology combine to create an individual terroir and expression of Margaret River style. This Chardonnay is picked over a range of ripeness levels to attain complexity whilst retaining characteristic finesse and elegance. It is very much in the Devil's Lair style, a subtle textural wine that has a complexity of flavour that evolves and develops in the glass, with no single flavours dominating.
A delicious young and early-drinking red packed with genuinely ripe but not overcooked flavours of dark berries, cherries and plums. Its bouquet has a floral aspect, with undertones of dark chocolate/cedar oak and nuances of dried herbs. Medium to full in weight, its fruit-driven palate is framed by very fine, dusty tannins. It finishes long and lingering with fresh dark fruit and lively acidity.
